  Not what I expected to find in southern Appalachia. This small church (250 members) is warm, open and accepting. There is no trace of any type of judgmentalism against those of alternative lifestyles, of any particular ilk. The sermons are deep, and thoughtful. The music is beautiful. It is the kind of church for people who ordinarily would not go to church. There is a strong emphasis on social justice. I heard one member say: "You know, there is a special place in Gods heart for atheists." This church is not about sin and death...it is about love and hope.
